Dr Charlotte Hawkins Brown created this school. This is the old campus from the 1910's and 1920's and the building with the green roof is Grinnell Hall, the domestic science cottage.
This is now The Charlotte Hawkins Brown North Carolina Historic Site. The only Black woman NC historic site.
