During segregation years in one of the sections redlined for Black people to live, Orange Street Graded School was a historical school for African American students located on Orange Street in Oxford, North Carolina. Operating through the mid-20th century, the school served the local Black community's elementary grades before eventually closing and the students were transferred because of integration.

The surrounding area historically housed local Black professionals, educators, and neighboring institutions like the historic St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church and First Baptist Church, Black owned business and a library.
