Photograph of African American children outside the Brunswick County Training School, a Rosenwald Fund school [c. 1921-1922]. The four-room school burned and was destroyed in January 1922 and was replaced by a larger six-room structure in Southport, NC.

A note on back of the photograph reads: "Type of Children who are to go to the Southport School. They are worth while."
