There are also some much later color photographs at the end, including some of Johnson as an older man.
This album is an invaluable and rare visual record of his fellow students and of school activities, including: sports, clubs and organizations and various events.
Johnson became interested in photography early in his life, and he may have acquired some of these photographs.
Several are “official” Dudley High School images, such as the image of the 1939 graduating class of 1939 on the front page of the May 1939 Panther’s Claw newspaper.
Lt. Colonel Andrew Johnson ( -1992) was a native of Greensboro and a 1940 graduate of Dudley High School.
