These are 3/163 pages of the “Slave Records” from Chowan County, NC, they are in a folder of documents labeled, “1831 Nat Turner’s Insurrection.”
These are records from the Chowan County (NC) Superior Court, outlining charges and outcomes for enslaved participants in the insurrection, from said county.
