$20 REWARD.
RAN AWAY from Elijah Malone, on the 14th of May last, near Gordonton, in Person county, a negro boy by the name of WILLIAM. Said negro is about twenty years of age, five feet ten or eleven inches high, of a pale yellow color, rather slender built, and round shoulders; he has a large mouth, with front teeth large and white; he has a wild look when spoken to, and is slow to answer; he has a very rough and bumpy face, and there may be some scars on the fingers of one of his hands, occasioned by a burn; he has remarkably kinky hair for a mulatto, and walks rather bow-legged. When he was last heard from, he had on a black coat, either broadcloth or alpacca; dark pantaloons, and a black round-crowned hat. His father was a free man by the name of Bush, and he may attempt to pass under that name. I have bought the said boy from Elijah Malone, and will give the reward of twenty dollars to any person who will deliver said boy to me, two miles east of Prospect Hill, in Orange county, or confine him in any jail so that I can get him.
HENRY MALONE.
